Brian Barnes

Chief Operations Officer

As the Chief Operations Officer Brian Barnes is responsible for the day to day operations of the Barnes Harley-Davidson® Dealer group. Brian joined the family business full time in 1999 as Body Shop manager at Wheaton Pacific Pontiac GMC and has moved through most positions in the Automotive and Powersports industry including lot attendant, service advisor, service manager, lease specialist, sales person, sales manager, Assistant General Manager and General Manager. Brian has worked with brands such as GM Canada, Nissan Canada, and Harley-Davidson®.

Brian joined the Barnes Harley-Davidson® Langley team in 2008 just as we were getting ready to move into our purpose-built facility in Langley. Brian brought sophisticated systems and processes (such as CRM) to the Barnes Harley-Davidson® organization that helped us set the benchmark for powersports operations in Canada. In 2015 Brian oversaw the expansion of the Barnes Harley-Davidson® dealer network when we purchased Barnes Harley-Davidson® Victoria. Installing our tried and tested processes, training and technology, led to explosive growth in Victoria. Under his leadership in 2018 Victoria earned the top spot in the country and became the Platinum Dealer of Canada. In 2016 Brian oversaw the expansion of the Barnes Harley-Davidson® dealer network when we purchased Barnes Harley-Davidson® Kamloops. He applied his successful formula once again and Kamloops ranked second only to Victoria in 2018 and was named Gold Dealer of Canada.

Tying the Barnes Harley-Davidson® dealerships together into "One Dealership with multiple rooftops" has given the customer and team member experience unprecedented consistency in the powersports network, a point in which Brian takes great pride. Brian is passionate about transparency in the business to team members and creating unique ways to help the entire team communicate. Without transparency and communication Brian feels that team members are left in the dark and cannot achieve the goals of the customer, the company or themselves. Brian prides himself on developing both systems and people to lead the organization past our competitors and into the future.

In his role as CFO, Aaron oversees all financial aspects of Barnes Garage Co. This includes financial reporting, financing, investments & acquisitions, and other new initiatives.
